Wedding Day Bliss

No... it wasn't my wedding. Yet.

My best friend (Bestie) got married this weekend. It was beautiful!! Just a small wedding of a few close friends and family.

We all had lots of fun. After the ceremony at the chapel, everyone gathered in the private room for the buffet. There was crab legs, sushi, prime rib, and all kinds of other tasty food... All You Can Eat!! (Okay, I need to stop talking about the food because I'm making myself hungry.)

And me, being the Maid of Honor, had to come up with a speech/toast after dinner. I didn't know what to say. Public speeking is just not my thing. But all in all, everything turned out great and I'm glad the happy couple had a great time.

I'm still in a little bit of shock though. Bestie and I went to intermediate/high school together and have been friends since then. We've been with each other through everything... the stupid boyfiends, break-ups, girl drama, and our crazy families. And now it seems surreal that we've grown up and are now getting married. OMG... the next thing you know, we'll be starting families.

All I can say now, is that I'm happy for her that she found happiness. (That they've both found happiness in each other.)

Next, my wedding will be in a few months. Lord, help me.

American Idol: Adam

OMG! Is it just me or did Adam do a complete turnaround with his look? (Sorry, I can't post a picture. They haven't posted the pictures of last night's performances yet.)

Now he looks like Edward Cullen.
(Yes, I have an obsession with Edward Cullen and Twilight)

I just couldn't get over how handsome he looked with his hair all neat and pushed back. And the suit, topped it all off. For a split second there I thought I was going to have to get the bucket to catch the drool that was accumulating at the corners of my mouth.

Adam's choice of song was "Tracks of My Tears." My first reaction was, Oh No! He's going to butcher the song. Then he came on stage to perform and it was awesome. It was one of those moments where you can just close your eyes and listen to the sweet sound of the person's voice without any interuptions from your sense of sight. (I also love music and think it amazingly sexy when a guy can sing.)

Go to iTunes and download it. I promise, you'll love it.

Our Crack Economy

I would love to meet the person who wrote this. They deserve a round at the bar!

From Unknown -
"Like a lot of folks in this state, I have a job. I work, they pay me. I pay my taxes and the government distributes my taxes as it sees fit.

In order to get that paycheck, I am required to pass a random urine test with which I have no problem. What I do have a problem with is the distribution of my taxes to people who don't have to pass a urine test.

Shouldn't one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare check becuase I have to pass one to earn it for them.

Please understand I have no problem with helping poeple get back on their feet. I do, on the other hand, have a problem with helping someone sitting on their ASS, doing drugs, while I work.

Can you imagine how much money the state would save if people had to pass a urine test to get a public assistance check? Something has got to be done... and soon!"

I don't even have to elaborate on this. Enough said.
